We aren’t tech entrepreneurs who thought flooring software could be a good business idea. We’re a flooring store who experienced the same frustrations as you. As outdated systems continued to fail us, we decided to build the platform we wish we’d had all along. 

 

Kronus was born from the frustration that came with years of fighting with legacy software that doesn’t work, waiting days for support that never helps and watching your team struggle with a system built by people who’ve never run a flooring business.

 

We knew there was a better way so we built it. 

HOW WE GOT HERE

Our Story

After three decades of running successful flooring stores, we knew the business inside out. We understood how to close a sale, manage installers, keep customers happy and turn a profit in an industry with razor-thin margins.

There was one other thing though…he noticed flooring software was not what it could be.

Every system we tried was outdated, overpriced or backed by utterly useless support teams that had no idea what he was talking about. Urgent problems were sent to voicemail and training new employees for weeks on systems that didn’t work made his business harder to run.

That’s when we set out to build our own solution: software for flooring stores that actually worked. After running a successful group of flooring stores in the Carolinas, he decided to solve his own problems. Every feature and design decision was to make sure people could run their flooring businesses better. Kronus is built on the following values:

The platform helps flooring businesses manage their day to day operations, including sales, scheduling, inventory, and customer workflows, all in one place. Our Team

Dennis DiCarlo

Founder & Flooring Industry Veteran

When Dennis DiCarlo started Carpet To Go Flooring in 1994, his goals were: be honest, treat people with respect, put the customer first and never stop improving. They remained the foundation of how he did business every day.

 

Armed with a credit card and a dream, he built his business from a single warehouse operation to a multi-location business serving Charlotte, Mooresville, Concord, Winston-Salem and Charleston, SC. He’s done every job from driving trucks to working the warehouse, sales, installation management and running the business. That’s why he knows how to keep customers happy when a problem comes up. 

 

His approach is what sets him apart. He answers his own phone, remembers customer names and cares about solving problems. When Dennis says he treats people with respect, he means it. This is the same as when he says he built Kronus to help people succeed. Today, he splits his time between running Carpet To Go Flooring and improving Kronus.
